Home and Housewares Show - Day 1 Recap!

What a whirlwind! Day one of the Home and Housewares was a long day filled with information, innovations, recipes and celebrity sightings. There is so much to report, I am going to give an overview summary here and then expand on each topic.



-The morning started with Tyler Florence's keynote address to kick off the show. He talked about his upcoming product lines as well as the business of being a celebrity chef.

-Later in the day he put on an amazing show in the Cooking Theatre! Tyler wowed the crowd with his energy, knowledge and delicious meal.

-Ellie Krieger was just as beautiful and intelligent as she is on TV. I talked to her about a new product about to hit the stores that allows us to enjoy FRENCH FRIES without the guilt!

-Kelsey Nixon showed me some of the amazing new baking products from Pyrex and told me about her future endeavors with the Food Network.

-Do you love to grill? There were some amazing new products for the grill to take your meals to the next level!

-And if are into grilling, how about an indoor kettle smoker that can be used on your stovetop!

-If you like your Crockpot, you will love some of the new utensils to make your slow cooker even easier and more efficient.

-Jamie Oliver had a crazy new gadget that you will have to see to believe :)

-Mario Batali has found a way to make "brown bagging" your lunch look like high fashion!

-If you have a tiny kitchen, how about Compact Ovenware from Nordic Ware. Fits perfectly in a small apartment space.

-Cupcakes! New ways to decorate and innovative ways to bake your favorite handheld desserts.

-Get ready for a whole new world of brownies with Wilton's products for Brownie Fun! From a bite-sized brownie square pan to "brownie pops", I was inspired to bake these classic treats in a whole new way!
